Looking for a great way to get your children to practise their spelling and their handwriting?

This bumper pack contains all the Set 2 speed sounds: ay, ee, igh, ow (as in blow) oo (as in zoo) oo (as in look), ar, or, air, ir, ou (as in out), oy.

Children can use the space provided and the handwriting worksheet template to practise both their spelling of the RWI Set 2 words and their cursive handwriting.

Each sheet contains spaces to practice the phoneme and spaces to copy words with the focus phoneme alongside each word, all in the frame of a handwriting worksheet marked with lines to show the demarcations for sky, grass, ground.

The spelling and handwriting worksheet pack is great to use in handwriting and spelling lessons, as morning starters, and even as homework activities. You might not want them to sit and do all of them at once, the worksheets can be easily split and separated into weekly tasks or as part of a phonics group activity.

It’s also a great way to get the children working on one skill whilst thinking it’s another. Students who need that little bit of extra spelling practise won’t even realise what they’ve been given as you make sure they do their handwriting.
